Jacob Amaya - Pro
Before: Jake, a talented player for the Los Angeles Dodgers (now with the Baltimore Orioles), was dealing with a nagging hip flexor. This threatened his ability to perform at his best and prepare for spring training.
Our Approach: We focused on a strategic approach to rehabilitation and training, prioritizing long-term health and performance over short-term gains. We concentrated on opening up his hip flexor and building isometric stability, avoiding exercises that could exacerbate the injury.
The Result: By focusing on movement and stability rather than pushing through pain, Jake experienced less pain and improved mobility in his hip flexor, ensuring he was healthy and prepared for the demands of professional baseball. This demonstrates our commitment to athlete well-being and smart training strategies.
Kai Ho - Pro
Before: At 27, Kai, formerly under contract with the Oregon Senators Independent Club, wanted to recapture his athletic form from his college days. He had taken a break from consistent training and needed a structured plan to get back on track.
Our Approach: We designed a program to rebuild Kai's foundation of speed and power. Recognizing his existing strength, we focused on developing first-step acceleration and explosive power through rapid heavy lifting. We also guided him on dietary adjustments, focusing on eliminating processed foods and unnecessary calories.
The Result: By combining targeted training with nutritional guidance, Kai lost 15 pounds of body fat and regained his peak athletic performance. This highlights the effectiveness of a holistic approach to training and nutrition.
Nick Adgar - Pro
Before: Nick, an Indy Ball player from Oakland playing in the Zone LA, possessed significant strength and power but struggled to translate it into on-field speed and acceleration.
Our Approach: We implemented a combination of simple plyometric drills and refined sprinting mechanics. This helped Nick learn to effectively transfer his power into the ground, generating greater acceleration and speed.
The Result: Nick learned to maximize his natural power, resulting in noticeable improvements in his first-step quickness and overall speed. This showcases our expertise in optimizing athletic movement and mechanics.
Kenny Carillo - Pro
Before: Kenny, a tall, slender pitcher before being selected from an Independent League in Los Angeles, needed to increase his strength, power, and overall physique.
Our Approach: We prioritized building a foundation of strength through heavy weightlifting, complemented by sprints and plyometrics to develop explosive power. Recognizing his role as a pitcher, we focused on teaching him how to generate force into the ground, not only while sprinting and performing plyometrics but also during his pitching motion. We also implemented a specialized arm care plan.
